SECURITY OF EQUIPMENT

Mark and Label

Expensive equipment, clothing, everything should be permanently marked to help ensure they do not disappear. CYC equipment is marked with royal blue tape or paint. It is extremely important to distinctly mark all gear such as life jackets, shirts, shoes, hats, masts, booms, rudders, boat covers, etc. with:

    • Permanent ink
    • Etcher – engrave sail hull # or serial #

Other ways to secure equipment:

    • LOCK IT! Wire cable and a black dial master lock will make it easy to secure.
    • Take it home. It’s a hassle, but at least it’s secure.

Check lost and found at the Jr. Clubhouse and CYC Front Desk if items are missing.

Lockers

Small lockers are available for $7.50 per month on a first come, first serve basis. It is a good place to put extra clothes, food, water, sunscreen, etc.

Choose a vacant locker. Bring a dial master lock. Give money (cash or CYC charge), combination and serial # of lock to the Junior Office.
